Mellencamp is an interestin...Nice look at this one. Mellencamp is an interesting guy in that he always seems right at the verge of some acclaim, but he never quite reaches through to superstardom. Everyone knows his songs, but he'll never reach Bruce Springsteen type celebrity. He certainly came across as a believable actor here. I liked your Elvis comparison. It must be a special kind of torture to be fairly well regarded. "Falling From Grace" was a cool little film though, and I'm glad to see it hasn't been forgotten.
