You sorta have to look past that and just enjoy the spectacle. As someone mentioned above, once the Statue of Liberty head rolls down the street things pick up considerably.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08164105442273577128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5407391624985829089.post-86125126392939302802009-11-02T14:08:52.061-05:002009-11-02T14:08:52.061-05:00Great premise, horrible TV script.Great premise, horrible TV script.christianhttp://christiandivine.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5407391624985829089.post-11801158102931062652009-11-02T09:49:48.469-05:002009-11-02T09:49:48.469-05:00Steve Langton:

It is certainly an interesting film.

Keith:

Hey Keith! I hope you had a great Halloween. Got to see this on the big screen at a film fest back in the mists of time, and via a 2nd-gen bootleg tape a year or so later. Haven't laid eyes on it since, and would love to read a review.Steve Langtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00759586159893673244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5407391624985829089.post-33704535305526021862009-10-30T15:52:35.027-04:002009-10-30T15:52:35.027-04:00Mark Salisbury:

Unfortunately, I did not see this in theaters and wish I had but I think that it does work on TV.

And yes, I really dig MIRACLE MILE too. There's a review out there that compares it with CLOVERFIELD in detail and it's incredible how close in structure they are.

le0pard13:

My dad got queasy watching this film in theaters so I wimped out and waited 'til DVD. It isn't nearly as bad on home video and definitely the way to go if the shaky-cam experience makes you ill. I am curious to know what you think if you decide to check it out.

Also, nice to see another fan of MIRACLE MILE. BLAIR WITCH, THE KINGDOM, THE HURT LOCKER all got me queasy due to that effect. However, at home (on disc) it's a little less so I will finally watch this (helped by your fine review and mention of a fine gem of a movie, Miracle Mile), J.D. Thanks for this.le0pard13https://www.blogger.com/profile/09421175808461787862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5407391624985829089.post-1276204775200824112009-10-30T14:05:04.655-04:002009-10-30T14:05:04.655-04:00I loved this movie from the point Liberty's he...I loved this movie from the point Liberty's head turns up. I saw it the same cinema I saw Streets Of Fire, with the sound turned WAY UP and my teeth rattling. Always been resistant to watching on DVD. Somehow I don't think the experience will quite be the same.

Glad to see the mention for Miracle Mile. That movie's a gem.Mark Salisburyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07552368976392500597noreply@blogger.com
